One of our favorite fish stores had a big, healthy guy. Last one they had and we got him for $140 within the past two weeks.

For a stupid fish, what a joke. And people will pay it..Maybe its not the fish thats stupid. We pay hounders for a clam???? In the south seas you can have the same clam cooked for you for $10.

My yellow tang died yesterday (made a terrible mistake with iron dosing). So I looked around for one, in The Netherlands they are offered for €299 ($360). I was shocked.

That would be perfect!
In all seriousness there was a time when I was a beginner *still am but when I had just started* and I wanted to get a baby yellow tang for my tank so it eats the algae, then I would give it back to the LFS. Never did that, never will. But I do like to see tanks in the LFSs where they have tangs in smaller tanks, very small tangs, but they continuously move the fish to different tanks for shop aesthetic.

One shop they had maybe 100 yellow tangs. $110 for small ones. It depends on the shop as other shops in my area were empty. I was going to pick one up but the shop doesn’t use copper to treat their fish, only UV sterilizers which is cool but I don’t have a quarantine setup (space is too small for more gear)

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
