@Katrina71 , Shelly picked up 4 gourgous Ultra RFA's. She is acclimating right now. She said she will make me post you a pic tommorow.

If we get lucky when they get lucky you will get lucky too!
Nervous? Pffft. They are about like a mushroom honestly.
Mushrooms disappear in her tank. It's a mystery we haven't solved. ;Meh

I still need to glue things in place. Getting ready to place an order for a 36" hybrid. Tomorrow is setting up the apex, building a shelf for the dosing jugs and testing.

Finally had the pleasure of meeting a couple of R2R reefers in Kansas City. @Almondkc & @Geebs19 ! Both are great guys!

I had the second Hippo I aquired that I was trying to find a good home for with no luck. I didn't like the thought of holding him in my 36 qt, so at the last minute he finally found his new home...

He can stay as long as he wants. :)

Two blue hippos!

Meeting reefers is awesome. I still hope to catch you in NY one day!

P.S. Tank is looking great!

Are 2 blue hippos gonna be cool together? I didn't realize you can have 2.
Sshhhh, don't let the fish hear you say that.

I found 1 lone web article mentioning you could with this species and chatted with our tang expert that also has two. They are doing great no agression at all. Every fish is different. Now if it where powder blues I would have never tried.

So how much longer until lights on? We have some RFA that need a debut here:)
The lights were already off when we got home from KC. I just hit them with a flashlight and they finally hooked up to the rock in our acclimation box. Today we will place them and snap some pics.

Your video is what made me ask. They appear quite content.
Surprisingly they are very content and peaceful. I definitely feel the size difference helped. I had an exit plan and still do if things go south. At this point after observing I have no worries. Was is a risk...yes, as everything in this hobby is. Will it work for the next person? Hard to say.
