Hi anyone using eheim thermocontrol heater? Where did you place it? Setting up a cade s2 1200 reef and apparently these heaters cant go horizontal which rules out putting in sump as to long to go vertically.
Thanks in advance

I wonder why can't it be run horizontal if it's totally submersible? I run the older eheim Jagger heaters laying in a sump for years and they look like the new version minus some control so maybe it has something to do with that.

I don't know who gave you that advice but it's not correct, these heaters can lay in any direction.
Anyway I have my heaters in the overflow and they've been like this for over 3 years with my Cade tanks with no problems.
