Good afternoon everyone, I am Brandon Smith in Kodiak,AK. Currently my wife and I are in the research phase of starting up a tank. We still aren't sure what size to go with, fish, plants and the such to put in it but we are here to learn from everyone willing to help us out. I'm eager and excited to start chatting with some people here and get the ball rolling!

lots to learn, and depend on what fish you want, something like tangs will need to be in at least 50-75+gallon tanks.
start with what's biggest size tank can you afford,

Well my wife has a vision in her mind and she just told me it involves getting a big tank setup so I imagine we'll go with at least a 50 gallon but we will see what fish we want and go from there on tank size. First step is to find places that will sell fish to me that I can actually get to Kodiak. I found a few websites that say they can ship them here but I don't know how trustworthy they really are.

I had a lot of fun clicking on the My Tank Thread badges when I started. You get to see some beautiful tanks and when one really leaps out at you, you get to read up on how they did what they did and when and why. hopefully :)
