Thank you everyone. Appreciate the welcome. Treated the tank for 5 days with quarter strength Dr. Tim's Waste Away on account of the dirty sand. I assume it was dinos as it was stringy initially with air bubbles trapped within. Been vacuuming into a filter sock and holding off on water changes. Dosing microbacter daily now for about a week. It is better than it was. If anyone has any other suggestions for clearing up the sand that would be great. Or should I keep up with the Microbacter?Welcome, tank looks great!
Welcome to R2R and back to reefing. Nice tank you have.Hi everyone, thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself/tank. I've been back in the hobby for the past 7 months after a 5+ year hiatus. This is my first attempt at corals however. Before I ran a 75gal FOWLR system with an anemone or 2.
I've been all over this forum doing research and really appreciated all the great insights from all the collective experience.
Currently running a 30 gal tank w/ Eshopps refugium sump. Dosing w/ Kalkwasser in ATO. So far so good with what I've tried, a few bumps here and there, but all in all glad I got back in the hobby.
