Hello everyone! Thanks for having me. Over the past couple weeks I have been doing a lot of research before starting my first saltwater aquarium. I have done a little bit of fresh water here and there, but I am trying to elevate my hobby lol. So I just purchased a 40 breeder and stand. I am pretty crafty and definitely a diy type of person. I have drilled my tank already and have purchased my bulkheads and also a 20 gallon tank to use as a sump. I am waiting on some acrylic for inside the sump, and also waiting on some other things to come in the mail. Lights. etc. When I start to cycle I plan on not turning lights on until parameters are looking good to reduce algae. Getting some rodi from lfs until I can get my own unit. This forum seems awesome so far and I am glad to be here. Im on a 2nd floor apartment and some of the posts on here asking about it scare me a bit, but my landlord assured me it was fine and also I have renters insurance. Once I get my own rodi unit I can avoid lugging the buckets up. Hopefully all goes well and I will post once I have some more progress/pics. Thanks for having me.
