Hello, my name is Robert. I'm just starting getting back into the hobby after 10 years without a tank in my house. I have been trying to stay up to date with all the. We advancements in reef keeping. My last tank was a 150 gallon setup. My wife and I purchased a new home about 3 years ago and started doing some serious renovations. Along the way we had a new addition to the family. Our son is now 2 years old and absolutely loves fish and aquariums. So now we are in the process of building a 280 gallon tank for all of us to enjoy.

I started doing a lot of researching and getting myself familiarized with all the new products out there. Boy have things come along way since my last tank. Our new setup will be completely built in to match the cabinetry within the house. I have chosen to go with all Bashsea products for my filtration. Should look pretty sharp all in red and black under the display.

Welocom to R2R Robert. I too took a looong break from saltwater tanks, almost 30 years for me. You are correct, there have been major changes in the hobby. Luckily we both found the place for answers to our questions. There are a lot of really helpful people here with tons of knowledge that they don’t mind sharing. If in doubt, just ask and they/we will spend the time to help. I would never have been very successful without them.
