Well I'm getting back into the hobby again after a 8 year break and this time i'm working on a mixed reef aquarium..previously I was just running a 90 gal fowlr. This time around its a 66 gal, gotten a little ahead of myself in the sense that I've nearly purchased everything and making water..yet I dont even have the aquarium as of yet..appears to be held up in customs at this time and I'm hoping that its released sooner rather then later.

List of items:
scaquariums AIO 66 gal
24" ati t5 6 bulb fixture
40lb sand
50lb rock
tunze ato
wp25
eheim 1262
ecoxotic stunner led for refugium
lol 57w aqua classic UV got it free that obviously is not going in the set up..have to sell that for a smaller model :P

I think that that's it at this point...

As for stocking the gf has asked for a mandarin lol and every coral known!!!

My only concern will be if I'll have enough water movement in the tank for sps' down the road with the way my aquascaping is planned. Anyways before I ramble on, I'm looking forward to interacting here with you all.

Keith

Welcome,

A couple questions. Are you going to have a sump for heaters and a skimmer? Do you plan on getting a skimmer? How much wattage and how many heaters do you plan on using?

A lot has changed in eight years but it looks like your doing your research. I'd recommend a second wp-25 for your tank and if you can plumb in a sump and overflows, do it. Also, wait before adding a mandarin to make sure you have a solid pod population for it to eat. I'm sure you'll hear the last comment again.

Yeah its an all in one (AIO) sorry. Have a 200w heater already, not picked up a back up just yet. Skimmer is included :D
Ro/di water is heating in a rubbermaid container at the moment for whenever the system arrives..as for watts the ati is 24" @24 watts so 144 if I'm understanding properly 6x24.

Yeah I knew about the pods and tbh I dont plan to rush out and buy anything till I'm solid with my cycle and knowing me will be looking to find friendly tank mates. Sure I have a few ideas but things change eh.
