Welcome to R2RHi everybody,
been reading on here for a while now so i thought its time to register. Excellent forum, answered a lot of my questions.
I set up my first reef tank about 2 month ago after 10 years of wanting one but getting scared by the cost. I've had freshwater tanks before but this is the first time saltwater, bit of a learning curve.

Thanks for the advice, working on the build thread already, I'll have a look at the link when I get home. I read Paul B's book, very informative too and so easy to read.Welcome! Glad you joined. GORGEOUS!!!
Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. Like you, I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)
This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

DittoIt's a 350 lt dt or around 470 including sump. The goal is to have a mixed reef where all inhabitants are happy, hence I am staying away from the bigger fish. The coral beauty is probably my biggest. The best thing so far is the live rock with all the different creatures that still keep popping up like brittle star, rock boring urchin, crabs, pistol shrimp, to name a few.
Love the tank and the tranquility.
Looking forward to a Lot of happy days to come.
