My initial attempt at a saltwater aquarium was about 35 years ago, I'm so glad things have improved. I hired a service provider to ensure things were done right and although he had great reviews, I ended up with a mess and need help. He put in a bubble mangus into a Biocube32, he assured me it was "normal" but the fact that he cut the back of my top off made me wonder. He also tossed the instructions and left me clueless how to use it, thank goodness for ChatGPT! He also tossed the tray for any media stating it was not needed. He was informed his services were no longer needed and I now have a great service person. But, I have a skimmer that is way oversized for the tank and, I need to put a media basket in the chamber to remove the million microbubbles. Even with the challenges, I had to learn the tank quickly along with the chemistry and it is doing well so that is a positive! Please let me know what others have used in the biocube 32. I have heard the Innovative Marine BioKim dc Nano AIQ is good along with they Hydor Slim/Nano internal skimmer but, if the group can recommend a great protein skimmer that fits into the biocube32 I'd be so appreciative. I'm also going to have to buy a new lid for the tank, it has been a costly lesson but, getting upset isn't the remedy for keeping my corals and fish happy! Thank you all in advance.
