Hello all,

I had a reef for almost 15 years and got out of the hobby a few years ago. Now my teenage daughter is interested and is getting me back into the hobby. I figured I'd join to see what has changed in the last few years. Just wanted to say hello.

Hi Jim and Welcome! Glad you joined. Great family hobby. Our tank has cut into our 13 year old daughters computer/video time, which is GREAT in my opinion. Glad she has an interest and sounds like yours does too!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
