Hello from Holland!

[Aqua-Life]

Hi all,

My name is Dennis, I'm from the Netherlands and I just created an account here on R2R to start reading into the reefing hobby.
I've owned a fresh water aquarium for approximately 8 years in various different sizes an biotopes, but I've always dreamed of owning a reef tank eventually.

My goal here is to read, read, and read. I'm not really the type who quickly asks questions without trying to find my own answers. I try to look it up first and get multiple sources of information to form my own opinion. Nevertheless, not everything is so straight forward so I hope you guys can help me out when needed!

I have no plans in the near future to start a reef tank. I want to learn a lot about the hobby first. If I had to make a guess when I would start my own tank, that would probably be in about 2 to 3 years from now. Untill then, I'm reading the R2R threads, articles and try to watch informative youtube chanels.

I'm excited to learn!

Greetz, Dennis

Welcome to R2R Dennis and your new reefing family. You're off to a good start by doing your research first. There is plenty to learn before jumping in. I would like to suggest the thread below as a good starting point.

Hi Dennis, R2R is a really good resource for information. I'm very interested in how the US ways compare the European ways of reef keeping.
