This is probably the best advice, especially if you want a light that will work for both fresh and salt.Welcome from Monmouth County! I’d suggest trying to pick up a used T5 fixture by ATI. You can get all the parts from ATI and it won’t break the bank at all. Just new bulbs every 12 or so months.

most LEDS, won’t be the right spectrum for one or the other, whereas with the T5 you can useuse freshwater 3000, 6500 or 10k bulbs And then switch to some blue + bulbs and others for the corals when you go salt
