My name is Chris. I am new to the forums and new to the hobby. So far so good on the tanks but it never hurts to join a community for those pesky questions and who knows I may be able to answer 1.
My equip so far:
28 gal bow front
Marineland penguin 200 filter
Current orbit marine LEDs (love the way it makes everything pop)
46 lbs of live rock
AquaC Remora skimmer
Eagle eye zoas
A huge toadstool
A crazy bunch of hitch hikers
And a cleaning crew
Strangely my initial cycle was 1 week after I dropped my dead shrimp in, I took readings everyday and watched the ammonia and nitrites drop right off. I guess fully cultured live rock and the live sand really works fast. I started with a cheap fish just in case of disaster but it's been a month and everything is still living.
I'll post some pictures when I can.
