Hello everyone here at Reef2Reef!
my name is kyle, i set up my first saltwater tank about 9 months ago. im from new jersey with a background in environmental science. when i run tests on my tank i feel like im back in the chemistry lab  im a certified scuba diver and a certified reef addict now as well. ive ran into some issues along the way building my tank and some successes. i will try to make a tank build thread soon if you guys would want to check it out. i always seemed to stumble upon a thread here at R2R when i would try to research some of my tank questions. it only made sense that i should join and start posting.
so far this is my setup: 70 gallon custom acrylic cube(it is very tall), custom trigger systems sump, homemade wood stand, aquaC ev-240 skimmer on a magdrive 18, kessil a360W w/goosneck and spectral controller, 1x tunze nanostream 6095, magdrive 18 return pump, Tunze osmolator ATO, and some Led light strips over my refugium (i cant remember the brand right now) and 2 maxijet 1200 for movement in the first and third chamber of the sump and 2 heaters
Parameters: Ca-440, Alk-9, mag-1350, temp-76, sg-1.025, ammonia/nitrite/nitrate-undetectable, i have never tested for phosphates. i used red sea pro test kits for ca/mg/alk and the standard api kit for the rest.
liverock/substrate: 70 pounds LR throughout DT/sump, deep sand bed in DT and Sump (4-5 inches in display, 3 inches in sump)
fish: 1 flame angel, 2 false percula, 2 blue chromis, 2 pajama cardinal, 1 bengalli cardinal
Coral: 8 types of zoas/palys (i do not know any names), 2 hammer corals, 1 purple rimmed plate, 3x acan lord / 1 echinata, 1 lobed brain, 2 pagoda cups/many frags, pulsing xenia, clove polyps, star polyps, red montipora, red acropora frag, 1 micromussa, green ric mushroom and some faded blue mushrooms.
feather duster as well
my CUC consists of more snails than i could count.
i think thats about it. let me know if you guys have any questions im looking forward to being part of R2R! i will post pictures tomorrow if i can.
