Hi everyone!

I joined this hobby by force because we moved into my grandfather’s house after his wife passed away and there was a giant 300 gallon saltwater fish tank and it used to be maintained by 2 dudes but the system was very complicated and confusing. One day I thought it would be cool to take control of it but it was very overwhelming and I used this forum to help take apart the system one aspect at a time. It was very difficult because I was thrown into a system that was already functioning and had to relearn everything that was wrong. The overflows were filled with bioballs and there was an external skimmer that was crap and the whole plumbing is awful. Anyway this thread is just a test to see if people will welcome any post they see in this sub forum without questioning who wrote it or what they are actually saying. lol

I welcome everyone, friend! Good luck with your 300 lol!

We were replying at the same time lol. I was referring to Rev but I'm sure his is an automated reply.
Ha! I'm so used to the Rev's auto reply, I thought you were talking to me lol!

I am not a new member and you should not welcome me because I’ve been here for years. If you make a post that welcomes me you are actively helping my research studying the human mind and psychology and providing data points. Thanks for much guys!
I dont think you need a welcome...but have you documented your story fully?

Looks like it would be a great read! :-)

I welcome all but also read what is presented by a given person

I never really shared my story. It’s a bit painful looking back because I went through hard times trying to figure it all out. It was very overwhelming and not fun at all.

The external skimmer had a leak that was sealed by salt creep. The whole tank was balancing on a tightrope. I knew nothing about plumbing or mechanics, so I was kind of a mess. This forum saved me.

I can imagine, I went through so much when i started, but nothing like what you did! (Actually one of the reasons I explain everything about my tank to my 16yr old Son just in case anything ever happened)

It's amazing how things can spiral out of control on tanks one after the other!
No wonder we keep spares of almost all parts!

It's a great late story introduction. As I always wondered how you got that huge tank and ran a out with your pants on fire and jay was probably scratching his head.

You're a blast!

Sorry about how things came to be. But, you made it funny.

Hi, don't want to be welcomed its up to you! but I'm not going into debate who is automated or not in Meet and greet section of this forum, but I can tell you one thing, its a dedication from very few of the members on this forum, that we spend time welcoming people on here. Regardles of their concern or question, there is nothing wrong with saying hi and welcome to new people, we get no benefits for greeting people here, ...people who judge us need to back off...

TL;DR! WELCOME TO R2R! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
