Hear, hear! That cocktail bar is the real star of the show! 😂
I appreciate it. Lot of love went into that bar.

Was eviction day for the clown fish out of the 90. Little helloreef tank still testing good with no ammonia or nitrite and nitrate still showing around 10ppm. With this monster in will be a real test to the cycle. Yet to see the ugly stage. Trying to kick start that. Thinking of using some of the clean up crew I currently have in the 90 but everyone would get scrubbed down like crazy.

My son came running in from getting picked up from school and said "can we test the tank!". Coming off a long work week told him we could test it today instead. Results are still looking great! Biological filter is definitely established and 2 fish being in it didn't sway it all. Plus on a positive note the ugly stage is beginning which the kids were pumped to see yesterday right after I noticed which is always a fantastic sign. Clean up crew will soon be in bound. Plus with some fish in there now the little skimmer is pulling skim mate and the roller is doing an incredible job all ready. Thanks @NatureDimensions and @IOAOI Quite some good addition to this reef tank.

On another note hopefully be adding in my hawkfisf from my 90 into this little tank tomorrow as he is the last remaining fish.

That’s a really nice build — it looks clean and elegant, and we’re very happy to see you’re enjoying the fleece roller!

By the way, based on the color of the used fleece, we’d recommend raising the sensor a little higher. This allows the fleece to get slightly dirtier before advancing, which makes it more efficient and helps the roll last longer.

For such a new and clean tank, it’s completely normal if the fleece doesn’t roll for 12 hours or even longer. As long as you see it advance after about a day and the used section turns a deeper brown color, that’s actually a good sign of balanced and efficient fleece usage.

Sounds good! I will be doing this. Thanks

Today was the official day of the hawkfish moving from the 90 in the hello reef but also marks the first day of the 90s breakdown. Pulled one of the 2 sections of live rock leaving the section with my rock flower anemone still in for another week or so until I can fully break down my 90 for its rebuild. Unfortunate how much I love this scape to see it never really have coral on it. Even out of the watef still looks amazing.

Today marked the final day with anemone in the 90 gallon. It also marks the official day of the 90s restart as well. Lot of work still needs to be done to the 90 as far as cleaning is considered but most of the equipment has been cleaned and boxed. Tank break downs always take so long start this process at about 9 stopped at about 5 tonight and I'm about half way done 🤣.

Anyways the transfer of the anemone went great. Had to break the rock in such a way to not hurt it while also trying to clean the rock as its foot was pretty well cemented into is existing rock structure. My hope is it hates its spot and moves so I can pull that rock from the tank. Time will tell with that.

Also looking into getting an addtional clean up crew from what I added from my 90 including an urchin and a peppermint shrimp because the kids want them and its their input in this little 15.

Did the tanks first water change this morning. Decided to venture out to my lfs that is fortunately down the street from my house (also found that a new store pop by my old house of course after I moved) and bought a tuxedo urchin, a fire shrimp, a red rock flower anemone and because I couldn't pass the price 2 rainbow anemones for 15 a piece. Be a fool to not get those and they are meaty anemones too! Will get more pics when they are all in the tank

All the new additions are in the tank. The rainbows took immediately to where I placed them the rock flower however didn't want to grab to anything. Finally found a resting place in the sand. Urchin and shrimp will move when they are reay bjt everyone looks at home. Clown was not happy my hand was in the tank ( flicking its tail at me 🙄) but was definitely checking the rainbows out for sure so time will tell. In its 9 years it has never had an anemone to host. At one point in its life it was hosting my torches🤣

Well have some unfortunate news today, after nine years my clownfish died today which is a shame because I got this specifically because of this fish so I could keep it alive to put back in the 90 when I got it back up and running. Unfortunately it jumped out last night my guess shortly after we went to bed.

Also with that the AI blade that came with the tank shorted and caused the whites to srsy on regardless if it was calling for power or not so I tore apart one the xr15s I had and cleaned ever single conponent from all the dust build and saltwater splash. Needless to say, it looks like a brand new fixture. I may end up getting a new AI blade but we will see how this light pans out. Definitely overkill given the size of the tank, started an acclimation and 5 percent and ramping back to 10 percent using the AB+ but may just end up building my own schedule for it at some point. Gives me the excuse to buy newer xr15s for the 90.

Thats a high bio load to add all at once for a tank that small and newly setup . What do you plan to have the tuxedo eat in a freshly setup tank?

Seaweed. Been hamming it down too plus the skimmer and filter roller have been working great. With regualr water changes that Ive been doing weekly I'm not overly concerned the bioload being to high at the moment
