HELP 3+ year old aiptasia removal

Hey guys so I’ve apitasia problems in the 5 years that I’ve been reefing but I have this 1 singular aiptasia that has NEVER LEFT!!! Throughout the years I’ve had problems with aiptasia all over my tank and tried everything from lasers to F aiptasia/aiptasia x I’ve bought filefish/peppermint shrimp and Berghia nudibranchs. Don’t get me wrong all these methods have worked for me in the past and the berghias got rid of them all this last time and haven’t had any come back in about a year(berghias being the best answer for small infestations IMO). Except for this one GIANT one that’s been here since the beginning. It’s grown so big it’s almost the size of a baseball and I really don’t want to get rid of the rock it’s on and don’t see an easy way to chip off the section that it’s grown into. MY QUESTION IS do you guys think shooting it with Franks F aiptasia will just cause it to shoot babies everywhere? Is there a way I can just slice the base of with a scalpel??? what should I do please help

I think if that monster was in my tank, I would take the rock out and chip out the whole section. You may lose some zoas, but in the end it would be worth it.

As others have said, remove the rock and chip off the bit it’s attached to. If for some reason any part is left smother it in super glue

If it's that large, its possible that it can be picked off like a anemone. Try not to tear the foot. Do it out of the water and dip the rock in some saltwater that's not in your tank. I did that with one good sized one and never had any new ones show up *knocks on wood*

I recently tried Joes Juice, which worked very well for me.

That said, Aptasia X, F aptasia ... both should also work, the key is turning off the flow.

If you still have nudis in your tank then just chip off the rock
