I had 1-1.2 gallons of Kalk water go into my ~13 gallon tank when my AIO overflow sponge got clogged. The pump was pumping the water faster than it was returning causing the display tank to rise and the return chamber to lower. Sucked because I bought a Tunze and thought it was bullet proof...I didn't account for a situation like that happening. But the tank was ok. Hopefully with your water change you'll be ok, my tank was ok. Good luck!

Although mine wasn't kalk water. I did have my ato dump water about 6 gallons in my DT. I wasn't home at the time . Got a leat alert from my apex unit. Rushed home and water pumped so fast that my dual corner overflow couldn't keep up. Turned off the ato for a week and went from a sensor ato to the tunze ato. Although not full proof. I clean the float valves every Saturday.

Just checked my ph though it was going through the roof but it actually not high at all. Not sure if I turned off the sump light that usually on.

I have heard doser failed too. I guess it was the sensor got stuck
I got a brs doser, after a couple years....couple months ago, it slowed dosing....needed a new hose. I have mine hooked up to a cheap light timer to turn on every 15 minutes for 5 minutes. Works for me. I gave up with ato or drip dosing a long time ago.

I am going to get a float switch I can set it up if the water accidentally dumped into the tank too much it will shut it off. Don’t think it will 100% bulletproof but at least that’s my plan for now.

most of the corals and lives are ok. Some are ticked. A lot of white dusty kalk overall the tank include the rocks and pump, it’s going to be a long day this Friday.

I was surprised that the alk and ph didn’t spike. Alk was at 7.4 and ph was under 8. That was after the two 35g wc within 8 hours. Testing was done this morning.

The nice thing about kalk overdoses is that a lot of it will precipitate out
