Help building a refugium

Could someone point me in the right direction?..I want to build a refugium for a 180g reef. I need a step by step guide..as I am new to this. I am using a 40g breeder tank to start.

Are you wanting to use it strictly as a refugium or as a sump/refugium as it makes a difference on how you set it up? Also what purpose are you setting up the refugium for? Do you want the refugium above the tank so it can overflow into the tank or is it going to be in the stand. There are many different ways to setup a refugium all depends on what you want it to do.
