Well this is a new one.

ric is losing color and the bubbles on one side.

I would think it was a placement, but all the other ones next to it that were acquired at the same time or doing just fine.

Nothing is picking at it.

Unless the other ric is stinging it?!

It's hard to tell from the picture, is the toadstool close enough to sting it? If not did the toadstool shed recently and make irritate it. I have many different rics together not stinging each other so doubt its that.

will a toadstool slough irritate it? i know they release chemicals to ward off nearby corals

It’s not touching that one, but anything is possible… It is touching the one above it and that one’s not affected.

Moved him anyways LOL

I honestly don't know for sure as I don't have a toadstool but in general when a coral sheds the toxins it produces and sheds can irritate other coral. Idk how likely it is but looking at the pic looks like it may have been stung or irritated and I don't see anything else in the area. Just a potential possiblity I guess.

+1 rics don't sting each other, some are like a stack of pancakes.
No idea, but moving him away from leather is good. I sold my leather as i think he threw stuff in the water.
