Holy grail very retracted was looking good now dropping polyps too anyone know what I should do?

Have you checked your parameters, and have there been any changes in the tank recently or are there any other corals showing similar signs? I would recommend doing a coral dip on the torch as it may halt the necrosis/polyp dropping.

Everything else is doing great it was in a higher flow but moved back after a day or so because it started to look like this

Torches can be finicky sometimes. If I remember correctly, @Rocks reef is knowledgeable with these corals.

The R2R #reefsquad may be of further help.

Torches are annoying to work around! Check parameters, they do not like high alk or low alk. Get a tester if you don’t have one!

That is alright, try to get it to 8.5. 7-12 is the range you wanna be in.

This is tissue recession and from stress.
What are stressors?
Hammers are intolerant to major swings in water quality, and sensitive to almost any level of copper in the water especially if any tap water was added. Calcium and alk are important parameters that will affect their growth and this coral will start to die off if calcium levels are too low which should be about 400 ppm.
Basically, avoid bright light and water flow and dark lighting. Bright lights cause bleaching and low lighting will cause them to shrink and starve. Maintain moderate light for their photosynthesis and keep it off the sand bed which sand can irritate it.
I suspect your Po4 if accurate is causing issues

Tank is about 9 or 10 months I know for sure alk is 8 and ph is 7.92 it’s my dads I’m just posting for him xr15 set on ab+ I believe and par is about 160

They are not picky when it comes to light. Do assure calcium is at least 400 and Phos not elevated and avoid the extremes- Extreme light and water flow

Most torches do well in low, gentle flow

So hard to say. I have an aqua-cultured torch I’ve had in my system for 3 years and it died in both of my tanks and 2 of my customers tanks within a week.. old age? I really don’t know but find it crazy that 4 different systems it bit the dust within a few days
