Help identify Copperband tail spot

My Copperband has a spot on his tail fin. I don’t know how long it’s been there. I got him a couple weeks ago and didn’t notice it until a couple days ago. In the photo you’ll see a tiny spot middle rear of the tail fin. No other spots that I’ve seen.

This Copperband is the opposite of most. He eats everything I drop in the tank. Is always hungry. He is the biggest fish in the tank right now so he runs things. So no other signs that something is wrong with him.

Likely lymphocystis which is viral and not a disease and should fall off on its own

I agree, that looks like lymphocystis, but a pic under white lights would help confirm it.

This species is very prone to it, and it may spread to other areas in the fish before subsiding after month or so.
