I'm currently setting up my first saltwater tank and, after adding 2 new live rocks the next day i've noticed these white things in my tank, i'm guessing it's some type of mold. can anyone help me identify them?

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Some interesting things there. Can you describe these things a bit for us:

-Are they hard or soft?

-Do they move around?

-Do they open and close/expand and contract/extend and retract?

-Do they have any noticeable openings/holes in them?

-Any other descriptions/details you can add about them?

The big one/big part at the top of the pic is throwing me off or I would probably guess sponges, as I see at least one definite tube shape.

When you say "live rocks", what do you mean? Where was the rock before you put it in your tank?

sure: they're soft and aren't attached to anything, they don't move on their own only with currents.
I thought it was some kind of mold and as i am writing this their number decreased
