Help identifying

Clownfish passed this morning, in the few days leading up to the death she was acting normal over the span of a night she started breathing heavy and swimming less. The following night stopped eating and then last night had what looked like a boil and a few red dots on her and became very pale. She passed this morning. Never noticed white spec or anything on her indicating velvet ich or brook. Her tankmates where another clown and a cleaner shrimp. No corals only live rock. Amm-0

Nitrate-10
Tank has been up for 3 months.
I have used the same syphon between this tank and a freshwater betta tank.
Had to scope of the sand bed so some picture have some sand on her. Any help identifying what this was to prevent and take action for the future would be appreciated

These pictures were minutes after death. Can decomp happen prior to death?

Did you ever notice any aggression from the other clown?
Post mortem pics don’t really show much other than general condition - the fish doesn’t look too thin or beat up.

generally no. But bacterial growth can appear nearly instantly which to me the darker areas on parts of the body represent. Could also be something related to an internal issue more visible out of water

Any signs will help such as odd behavior, loss of appetite, unusual swimming behavior, etc

I don’t see this as an internal issue especially without any typical symptoms and any causes are guesses with the fish deceased . A literal autopsy and microscope findings would determine that

Not usually - bacterial infection in fish is not really transmitted. BUT - I probably wasn't clear. I meant that the bacteria can quickly grow after the fish are dead - it could be an an area of dead tissue that was infected, or just the organs of the fish after death
