HELP!!! Master Scoly being overrun by Clove Polyps.

My par is a little high (about 100) for the scoly and mushrooms, but shouldnt be the cause.

I do wonder if i need to spot feed more often?
100 should be ok I think. Maybe nutrition. I would feed mine 4 or 5 times a week sometimes every night. Chopped frozen mysis and some lps pellets. My system had no fish and nutrients were typically low in the water. My LPS needed feeding daily...
Spot feeding in my tank is tricky.. 33 Gallon system with 3 Peppermint Shrimps and 2 Skunk Shrimps... lots of food stealing.

I do over feed the tank when i feed the fish in the hopes the shrimps get plenty of food from that, but sometimes still see them steal from the Scoly.

Honestly if it wasnt for my system being an AIO, id probably have moved atleast the Peppermint Shrimps to the sump lol

I ended up using glue as the others suggested.

This did end up stopping the clove polyps (i had to do it a couple times as they would pop out of new holes), but unfortunately the scoly passed away due to recession.

Honestly have had awful luck keeping Scolys in my tank. All have died, bar one, which is receeding currently.

I have massively turned the flow down to try help and it does look a lot puffier now, but we will see in due time if it survives
Hey Steve!

In my experience my friend, it's the shrimp. The "food stealing" isn't fun and innocent. The shrimp is prying into the inside of the scoly and stealing food. One small peppermint shrimp almost killed both of my scolys and about 5 hammers. I bet if you lose the shrimp, you'd stop losing scolys!

I agree most likely nutrients I had been feeding mine twice a week and started feeding less frequently a month ago and since its not nearly as happy as it used to be

maybe buy a large mushroom cage to put over the scoly while it eats?
