Alright here we go. I am looking to make a full list of all the things I want to use for this upcoming build thread and need some expert advice as I want to do this right the first time around. I am big on researching things before purchasing to make sure my livestock is taken care of.

I have about 3-4 weeks until the tank arrives, I went with a Tideline 62 AIO with the black Artika stand, I also went ahead and ordered their acrylic lid sets to combat jumping fish as I plan to keep wrasses.

I have also decided on 2 Nicrew 150s with the controller thanks to advice from @rtparty

I have about 30 lbs of rock in my existing tank that I will be moving over to this new tank & also plan to get a 40 lb box of the liferock dreamscapes to add to the existing rock as I like the variety of ledges, branches, etc. If you have any better alternatives let me know!

I currently have a nero 3 in my 30 gallon but know I will need more than this, please let me know what I should add.

I have been looking in to sand, I want something that won't blow around - should I go for special grade? Maybe crushed coral? I have also heard ocean direct is great. thoughts?

Let me know the best easily controlled heater I can add to this tank as well please - I hate dealing with adjusting one every single day and absolutely hate what is in my 30g....

Lastly, if you have any recommendations for additional gear that would make this build better - Skimmer, Doser, reactors, ato, etc let me know. I would love to know what would make this the best environment for my fish & corals as possible.

I have read through other build threads but felt making my own and conversing with you all about this would be much easier & helpful for me.

If you already have a nero 3, why not add a nero 5 along with it?

I have the carib sea ocean direct sand, the 40lb bag I got was mostly very fine, similar to oolite. I dont think thats particularly typical of their sand but *shrug* I mixed some special grade dry sand in with it, seems to be working well so far.

Nero 5 and a mix of ocean direct and special grade it is, if anyone has any thoughts on the rest of the items i'd greatly appreciate it!
