Hey guys I'm planning on making a DIY all in one tank this summer out of a standard aga 5.5 gallon tank. looking for criticism and advice on the back wall I made a sketch up of what I plan to do no measurements as I don't have the equipment yet but just general thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated here's what I have so far

Just finished mine 2day....mines a 2o gal long!!

The baffles will be pretty close
so do one at a time!

what size maxi jet and what lighting are you thinked also what kinds of corals are you planning

Why not do a DIY hang on refugium/sump? You could make an overflow that is perforated at the top with a small pump at the bottom, maybe silicone it in the corner of the 5gl, have it pump to the hang on back and return via bulkhead, that way you will have more room in the tank and can keep the skimmer, heater, etc in the hang on. You could make it almost any depth so there is lots of room and even make it many chambered for all the equipment/refugium.
