Please help me pick a new lighting fixture for my 72G Bow. I am switching from a TEK 6x54 T5 because i want to go to halides so i can run radiums in concert with ATI Blue +'s

I have settled on a 2x250W SE (will be 2 Radiums) + 2x54W T5 (Blue +'s)

Now i just need to select a fixture

I am concerned least with price and most about

1) Which fixture will run with the least amount of heat
and
@) Which fixture has the best quality build

Problem is all of those fixtures are HQI and radium doesn't make a 250 watt HQI bulb.

Unless Im reading it wrong that light wont be released until feb or march. I guess the reason you are wanting se is for the radium bulb? They do make a 150w de but thats a far cry from a 250. Maybe you should look into the megachrome 21k bulb (maybe 22k, i dont remember). I have a de fixture and am trying to figure out what bulbs to get myself. Reeflux maybe, megachrome or another batch of phoenix. I do like the phoenix bulb but I also to switch things up a bit, if radium made a 250de it would be an easy choice.

I have an oldschool hamilton 2x250 se and 2x96 pc and it is built like a tank. Not a piece of art like the infinity is, but I would think it would work fine for you.

I don't know if i'm allowed to link.
But there is a guy selling his 48" aquactinics fixture on reefcentral. He's also on my local forums and i've seen the light first hand. I will refer him to this link.

Selling my 48" Aquactinics metal halide fixture powered by 2 icecap ballasts for the halide bulbs.
2x 175MH (Icecap Ballasts) 2x54w T-5

I am including all of the bulbs. For the metal halide bulbs I am running Reeflux 10k's Single Ended with plenty of life left. They have six months of use on them and they have been running 5 hours per day. The T5's are Giesemann Actinic + Powerchrome also only three months old.

Reason for selling is I am Downsizing Setup To A Solana

Price is $425 firm. Pickup in Nassau County

This fixture is over a $1,000 new without the bulbs.

The fixture runs very cool and is designed to be placed right on top of the tank with minimal heat transfer.

Here is a link to pics

Good price. :) I'd go with retro if you could, but if you like the look of fixtures, Go with what you can afford.
