Help my serpent star has a hole in his disk. What could be wrong?

Depends what you need to do to sleep at night ….

If he’s almost gone anyways I personally would dispose of it without freezing .

In the past, I have euthanized moribund fish in different ways. I have put to sleep too many dogs and cats.

Don't overthink it. If you think it is time, do what you think is best for the animal.

Freezer feels like it will work...

Freezer feels like it will work...

I’ve had a cat in my deep freeze after bringing it home from its past vet appt .

I didn’t like knowing it was there waiting for the ground to thaw in the spring to be able to dig it’s spot in the yard .

I don’t know if I would personally be able to keep another pet in my freezer .

It was hard to do but it’s what needed to be done. He was deteriorating bad.

Thanks for handling the difficult situation. Be extra careful when you go to get a popsicle. I never want to make a difficult situation worse.

But there I go again. I’m certain that the suffering of the star has ended so don’t drag yourself down for that decision. It does not help for you to continue the suffering.
