Being that it's an anthias..........uronema..how are the other fish if you have any in the QT? If not..BLEACH THE LIVING **** OUT OF IT. DO NOT MIX ANYTHING WITH YOUR DT GEAR.
Sorry - but just visually, this looks like Uronema as the others have said.
Here is some additional info that I wrote up on this issue:
Uronema – This is a severe protozoan infection that is only seen in marine fishes. It can be present with or without a concurrent bacterial infection. Symptoms include the rapid development of a red mark forming in the hypodermis (fat and muscle) region of the fish, often following rows of scales so that the lesion is typically elongate, and angled downward as it progresses front to back along the side of the fish. Within a day or two of the development of the primary lesion, the fish will become lethargic, stop feeding and its respiration rate will increase. Scales above the lesion can be easily dislodged due to the massive trauma to the underlying tissue. Death follows rapidly; with few fish surviving beyond three days if left untreated. When Uronema infects the tail of a marine fish, it gives the classic symptoms of stage 3 fin erosion. Treatment is difficult, but limited success has been seen dosing the aquarium with chloroquine phosphate at 15 to 20 mg/l. However, this treatment is lethal to algae, corals and other invertebrates.
