Thanks everyone for your prompt responses. I ran another test and magnesium is at 1520. Other parameters are as follows

Salinity 1.025/33
Alk 8.2
Calcium
Phosphates .10
All Hanna test kits

**Next battle is how to increase calcium to 460 without increasing Alk?

PH is around 8.7 constantly
Planning on dosing Kalkwasser

What is your Calcium that you need to increase it?

Have you tested it with a regular test kit? The Calcium Hanna checker is notoriously difficult to master and tends to produce inaccurate results when not used correctly.

PH of 8.7 is undoubtedly a test error.
And if it is high, than why plan on using a high PH supplement like Kalkwasser? I would use Sodium Bicarbonate with Calcium Chloride instead, which would lower it.

Calcium is 380 I saw it was deleted in error. My ph is being read from a probe I have in a calcium reactor that is currently not running but water flows through.

Calcium is 380 I saw it was deleted in error. My ph is being read from a probe I have in a calcium reactor that is currently not running but water flows through.

PH Probes used in calcium reactors are calibrated with 4 and 7 references.
To get accurate readings in your tank you’ll need to target the correct range by calibrating it with 7 and 9 (or 10) references.

As for your calcium - I would retest with Salifert/Red Sea or other regular test kit.
Like I mentioned in my previous post, the Hanna calcium checker is notoriously difficult to master, and even slight differences in sample preparation would result with inaccurate readings.

If you calcium still needs to be corrected, use Calcium Chloride to increase it towards 420-450 with 20-30 PPM increments per day.

You can start increasing your calcium regardless of your PH readings.
