I have something coming out of my Lobo Coral, which I can’t describe. It’s like a flashy sort of substance/tissue. It’s only been there about a day.

Can anyone please identify this fleshly tissue?

Tank information I have an 800 L system
I dose modern Reef
I dose Pollypop modern Reef every day
I dose complete Coral food modern Reef every day
I dose Reef elixir every three days

My phosphates are about 0.08
My nitrates have recently gone down to 0. I am gradually increasing them very slowly using modern Reef N+.
My alkalinity is around 7.6 to go with modern Reef do

I do have an ICP test if you need to see it

This happens when the coral is disturbed or shocked. Could be a swing in parameters or someone in the tank bugging it. How are the other corals looking? Any non reef safe inhabitants? Change anything recently? If you can rule out potential irritants I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long as nothing you can test or see is off, it should go away in time.

Last night I was cleaning out My frag tank which is on the same system, I was cleaning the Coral plugs taking them out of the tank and the ones with the bit of hair algae on I cleaned with hydrogen peroxide 50-50 mix with a toothbrush then I dipped the Coral frags in another jug of tank water before putting it back into the tank. Is it possible? A very small amount of hydrogen peroxide is in the water column and it has an annoyed it?
I did notice one of my other. SPS was slightly unhappy this morning now thinking about it. This may be the issue. What do you think?

I think it's unlikely the hydrogen peroxide is causing the issue. People add this stuff directly into their tanks, much more than what would come off of a plug. Did you do anything different this time when cleaning out your frag tank? Water change with new salt? What are your Mag, Calc and Salinity at? Heater working normally? If your sps are looking unhappy as well it could be related rather than something specific to the lobo coral.

Nothing wrong and no need to worry.

Those are mesenterial filaments.
They can come out of a wound, but corals can also extend them on purpose. Usually, to attack corals nearby.

Your coral is not a Lobophyllia but an Acanthastrea pachycepta. A. pachycepta are extremely aggressive.

Thus the coral being healthy and attacking its surroundings is most likely whats happening. During the night the filaments probably extended much further.
