Hey all,

Trying to find some good options to complete stocking my JBJ 45

Looking at some Angels, like the Potters and Pearlback, anyone kept them and any experience with Coral nipping?

Other than Angels what are some good reef safe fish for a 45?

I've got 2 Clowns a Blenny, and a Goby.

No other fish, just inverts.

Not so into Basslets. I like fish with "attitudes" and or "personality" to some extent. I know all salt fish do, but like Chromis for example are just to plain to me.

Anyway, any suggestions are welcome

Never had any experience with those 2 sorry, but I had a yellow Corris wrasse in my jbj 30 rimless with tons of personality, dude would zip around all day. Also a flame hawk is an awesome fish they lack a swim bladder and jump around on the rock work super interesting fish that will watch you with its big eyes.

I would think that you may have a light problem with nipping but if you keep them well fed you should be fine. Yellow tang (forget the tang police lol) is a great option if you buy it small enough. that will give it time to grow and for you to enjoy it. I had one and it was the star of my tank.

I’ve got a cherub in my 20. Very beautiful little angel and super active! I’ve got just about every coral available to us in there and he hasn’t touched any of it! Here’s a couple pics but they really don’t do him justice, theres a very pretty electric blue rim on his fins, definitely google a pic!

My coral hawkfish is a favorite

Unfortunately..... the 2 very first fish I got for my Fluval 13.5 was a hawkish and a dotty back..... my LFS wasn’t really too smart about that....

Needless to say my GF now thinks hawk fish are cold blooded Murderers and they’re banned from our tanks.... heh

Also I fear he’d fight with the Blenny??

Okay, so i've narrowed my options down to 2-3 more of these guys and I think I'll be set! :D

Wrasses:

Mccoskers Wrasse

Then was thinking

either a couple of Cardinals,
Dotty's
or Water Colum Gobies

I'd want to get a pair, or something bonded.

Anyone with any experience with the above fish and reason why to or not to get them.

Or experience with bonding Cardinals, Dotty's or Gobies, let me know!
