I noticed some antennae on an acro. I looked at it with a magnifying glass and cut the branch, but the bug is still there! Does anyone know what it is? Is it harmful? Could it become an infestation?

Could be coral boring spionid worm. I have a few that come and go with no big problems. But sometimes they may multiply and stunt the coral.

Hi Reefer Matt, thanks for the link! definitely are boring spinoid worms! good read

After read all the topic and the hard solutions and risks, I decided to trashing the affected part to avoid the worm spread in the tank.

thanks again for the help, cheers mate.

This is the surgery results!

The worm is clearly visible lodged at the base of the acro and the tunnel in which it lives.
