I've had aptasia before, years ago. This does not look the same and is not behaving the same. It is way more compact and doesn't have the "feathery" flowy appearance. Also, this has been VERY SLOW growing. It has takes approximately a year for it to cover this rock. I've been watching it because it seems so different.

It has jumped now to the other side of the tank in a small area(pictured as well). My last bout with it(10 years ago), I threw 2 peppermint shrimp into the tank and within a few weeks it was gone. My tank just turned 15 yrs old. It has been humming along with no issues for a long time other than this. I suspect it was reintroduced on my last clean up crew refresh about 16 months ago. The timeline tracks. Any help identifying before I go the most natural route possible. Thanks so much! IMG_4224.jpeg IMG_4231.jpeg

Ahhh, I wondered. I meant to write that in the post as a possibility as well. I really did not think it was aptasia. Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
