I'm new to the hobby. I started my 75gal in April. I have a few fish in my DT which I quarantined. Everything went well with them. Yesterday I purchased a royal gramma and put him in a qt tank on his own. In the morning checked up on him and he was full of white spots. What does he have?

It appears to have been purchased already in bad health. It has ich.

This fish has ich parasite but also shredded fins suggesting aggression from another fish such as clowns.
If tank is not treated already, coppersafe at 2.25ppm will be the cure , and monitor level with Hanna brand copper test kit and treat for 30 full days, no less and monitor ammonia level while tr

Wow, the fins are badly torn, like something was biting this fish, maybe before you brought it home?

Looks like mucus cones or ich. Do you have copper for the QT?
I do. I wasn't sure if it was flukes, in which case I should use prazipro?

Ok, I will dose when I get home. If it's still alive.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

If you bought this fish yesterday and it has been in a tank by itself at your home, you need to call your dealer out for selling you a fish with ich and ripped fins from tankmate aggression. Then return it for a refund. Curing this fish isn’t going to be easy since you’re in Canada (unless you can get coppersafe).
