This might sound like a simple question but I’m a bit confuzzled lol. I’ve been dripping kalk in the first chamber with a wave pump, but am now realizing I have my trident test line in the next chamber over.. I’m wondering if it’s affecting the accuracy of my test results. I was thinking of putting the trident line in the first chamber and then drip kalk into the refugium chamber since that’s the only other chamber with heavy flow. Will this be ok? What do you guys do in this scenario? I’m afraid to put a wave maker in skimmer or return chamber and it affects the output. So my sump has 4 chambers.

1. Drain chamber. ATO line, Kalk line, Reef-mat & wave pump to ensure Kalk is mixed well.

2. Skimmer Chamber. Trident testing line, PH & Temp probe.

3. Refugium Chamber. Wave pump and chaeto

4. Return Chamber. Return pump

To minimize precipitation when dosing kalkwasser, it is best to add it slowly in an area of high water flow, such as near a return pump or a powerhead. This helps to quickly disperse the solution and reduces the chance of localized high pH, which can lead to precipitation

So do you think my current configuration is ok?

I dont see why it would matter with how you have it.....i dont use one of your trident testors though. You may want to switch like you suggest. Not sure if you have any chaeto in the fuge or if that would effect it if you did. I would probably put the testor up stream from the dosing
