Hi guys i am having algae growth on my Zoa rock and on my glass of my tank (a very thin layer) and it’s upsetting my corals even though its not that bad. Do these parameters seem ok and if so what could be causing it? Will Vibrant help and would that make my corals happier when the algae has gone. Thanks so much for anyone that takes there time to answer, much appreciated.

How’s your CUC? How bad is the algae? Pics Under white light would help to identify.

Film algae on the glass is normal. I clean mine often.
Water looks ok, Nitrites I would think should be 0 though.
I would only use Vibrant as a last resort.

Your parameters look good.
Coralline algae on bare rocks will help suppress other algae
How do you export nutrients?
Refugium
Algae scrubber
Carbon dose
Skimmer
Water changes
Other

I have 2 turbo snails a crab and hermit crab and a fire shrimp and cleaner shrimp. The Alage is not terribly bad however my zoas are not opening and my Duncan has not been fully open in over a week, the only thing i think could be upsetting them is the algae?

My main issue i have is that my corals are not happy and I don’t no what else could be causing it. Apart from the algae.
