Can anyone help me ID this coral please and let me know if the shedding is normal?

Nah.. that’s a leather or sigularia or how ever you spell it lol… and to the op yes it’s normal to shed…

A lot of softies will drop an arm or finger, it will drift around and resettle making another one. Green Sinularia, perhaps?

Looks like a sinularia, shedding is perfectly normal. He could stay closed for up to a week so heads up, they do this in order to prepare for new growth

Definitely not Sinularia; Sinularia are cabbage leathers. Could be Sclerophytum though.
