Hey so a couple weeks ago I noticed a molt....and I have only seen him once briefly he looked to be brown and spotted couldn't get a good look at the pincers....but I recently put a Frag of Zoas on the rock work by where I saw him and today 90% of the zoas are gone from the frag....so I am assuming he went to town....

How can I lure this thing out and catch it....I haven't seen him since that day but I know he is in there somewhere...I would gladly put him in my Fuge just really want him out of my DT...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Place a glass up against the rock work , make sure it leaning .. so he goes in and can't get back out .....Bait it with a bit of shrimp ,prawn
I must add do this when your fish are asleep otherwise they just swim off with the bait

You might get a few hermits as well but sooner or later you will get him

Possibly even try a bit of stocking with shrimp or similar in it at night, and lure him out, he may even get stuck on it trying to climb/get the food!

Yeah the smooth carapace and black tipped pointed pincers makes me think that your crab may not be friendly.

It's possible, but they're more likely to kill hermits or snails, but definitely possible for them to go after soft corals. If you manage to get him out I'd love to see him, it looks like it may be a pretty one.
