Help with Frag Tank Overflow and ReefMat Sensor Timing Issue

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on a challenge I've run into after tying my frag tank into my main system's flow. Here’s a quick breakdown of my setup:

• Main tank: 150-gallon Innovative Marine EXT Lagoon with a Bean Animal overflow
• Sump: Custom 80-gallon acrylic
• Frag tank: 4’x2’x10” (50 gallons)
• Filter: RedSea ReefMat 1200

The issue I'm facing is with the ReefMat's sensor height compared to my frag tank. The water from my main tank flows through the 1" gate valve into the frag tank, where detritus settles before being kicked up by powerheads and a gyre. The water then flows out of the frag tank into the ReefMat 1200.

As the detritus clogs the filter (as expected), the water in the frag tank starts to overflow onto the floor, usually just before the ReefMat’s sensor triggers the roll. It's only a small amount (about a gallon), but I can't seem to stop it. I’ve reduced my return pumps to 30% to slow the flow, but it still overflows.

I'm wondering if I need to:

• Raise the frag tank?
• Lower the ReefMat 1200?
• Drill a new hole in my sump?

I’m open to suggestions or adjustments to prevent this overflow. I’ve been tweaking things constantly, but the timing of the ReefMat sensor seems to be the root issue. Any insights from those who've dealt with similar setups would be appreciated!

Have you tried it with the legs off the Reefmat? or will it make things worse …
