Hi everyone - I'm trying to hang my 48" aquatic life hybrid (will have 3 radion gen 4 pros on it as well). I initially planned on using these. Here's the problem : my house was built in 1938 and I have plaster behind my sheet rock so I cannot find a stud. Has anyone drilled into plaster before?

You should be able to use wall anchors with no problems. I am no carpenter, but I call them butterfly anchors that expand when you screw in the screws.

As a retired electrician I have hung things on everything. If you have plaster behind sheetrock that is a very good base for hanging a lot of weight. A toggle bolt would be your strongest option there.

Get a few 3/16" toggles about 3 or 4" long and you can hold 100lbs or more on that.
Make the hole in the plaster/sheetrock with a drill using a 1/2" bit. Don't make the hole with a screwdriver.

I am afraid of an anchor there due to the thickness of sheetrock and plaster.
