Can anyone help me determine what’s going on with this koi scopas please.

It was in QT for 11 days when symptoms appeared. I first thought it was velvet as I noticed the “fine powdered sugar” appearance on the fish yesterday. Today you can see what looks like more of a bacterial issue?

The fish was treated using copper power at 2.5PPM, metro, and Prazi.

Otherwise it’s eating and does not appear to be too bothered.

Appreciate the help.

THIS IS BACTERIAL AND MAY HAVE STEMMED FROM ANINJURY AND TREATMENT SHOULD BE APPLIED USING SEACHEM KANAPLEX IN A SEPARATE TANK WHICH IS A BROAD SPECTRUM TREATMENT

Thank you, I will get the Kana started.

Is it safe to assume that if it were also a case of velvet, the rest of the tangs in Qt would also have gotten it and shown symptoms within the 11 days they have been together?

Also, any way to know if it’s likely contagious? Just wondering how long I should wait once the QT is done on the other fish before it’s safe to move them into their tanks.
