Help with new build

I’m getting back into this great hobby. I’m going to build an aquarium that is 60 x 24 x 31“ tall it will be rimmed and euro braced on the bottom and top. I’ve been told all I need to have is half inch glass I would appreciate any feedback on this topic.

My 110 tall is 48" by 31" tall that is half inch glass. I'm not sure if the extra 12" length would cause problems. My 72" by 25" tall was only 3/8" glass.
