help with this overflow box noise...

Hey guys I have a overflow hang on box and I recently made a durso standpipe for the box to reduce the noise but when I made the durso it didnt help at all. Any body have any suggestions on what I can do to fix this. It just keeps gurgling and flushing down every 30 seconds or so.

Have you tried moving the vent tubes in and out to see if that helps? If I can remember a friends durso pipes were doing this and we ended up enlarging the vent hole in the top one size at a time and after a few sizes larger and the vent tube removed altogether it stopped the rising and falling and stayed steady. I would try moving the tube first though unless you want to drill the cap larger as I don't know if it's glued on or not by the pics.
