I have had this Lubbocks Wrasse for a few days in quarantine (without medication).

It is eating normally and behaves generally normal.

I have noticed a white patch on his fin.

Its not spotty so i dont think its a skin disease like ich, velvet, brook.

Might be an infection or lymphocytis.

Any advice on what to do with it?
Im from Europe so i dont have a lot of medication available to me but i have cupramine, general cure and kanaplex, nls ick shield and then two sera medications: bactopur and costapur(malachite green 0.18g per 100g and formaldehyde 2g per 100g)

Thank you!

Im seeing a fin Ray issue or bacterial with lymphocystis which they are susceptible to and is viral, not parasitic and will go away on its own. Lympho is a condition and not disease which is viral. Often its associated with water quality issue as simple as elevated ammonia or nitrate and can be that of water from LFS and not yours. Assure to provide Good water quality monitored by a reliable test kit and feed nutritious food with fats such as LRS fish or Herbivore frenzy, plankton, krill and mysis shrimp.

I will test ammonia and nitrite but that should not be present as theres a piece of liferock from my dt in qt. (I did not have a seeded sponge at hand which i use normally)

Thank you for the quick advice. Is there any further sympoms to look out for? Should i do additional waterchanges? If i see the condition get worse is there any bath or so for quick relief? Just want to be ready.

Thank you!

Skip Nitrite which is freshwater specific . Nitrate will be the one also to look at

Didnt realise theres levels they dont tolerate.

Thank you again for the help and advice

Recommended (ranges):
Ammonia .025 or below
Nitrate 35 or less
specific gravity: 1.024 - 1.026
ph 7.9- 8.
Phosphate .06-.1

I actually had detectable ammonia in the tank which i dont understand.

I usually use a sponge from the dt. This time i use a live rock from dt to cycle. Im not sure if the nitrifying bacteria is enough. Its one small wrasse in 60l tank. I put in prime but i have to monitor that. Any advice on how to deal with an apparently incorrectly cycled tank. Should i put in more liferock or abandon qt and move to display.

I dont understand why the rock is not sufficient
