Not unless it starts growing over a sensitive spot; the mouth (prevents eating) or the gills (prevents breathing). Your best bet is to food soak vitamins and maintain pristine water conditions. Odds are it will go away soon.
It can take several days or even a few weeks, so be patient.Hasn't gone away. Still eating but he may be shaking his head sometimes. I'm not really sure what that looks like so I don't know for sure.
Could it be flukes? It's on his gill plate?
That's true it is only one small spot and not wormy
I would say just hang loose. You said the fish is eating normally and not breathing heavily, so I wouldn't sweat it. If more spots appear, then a more aggressive course of action may be required. You could do a freshwater bath if you were worried about flukes or parasites, but, in my opinion, that would be more stress on the fish than it's worth at this point. Just my two cents.What about Prazi? I have that at home if I need it.
