Yea will probably be fine. A chalice stung my candy cane.not long ago It's not fatal. Prob be ugly for a bit.
And in second look it seems you didn't lose and flesh. I lost a good chunk on the candy.

I do like that the mushroom got as big as it could to swallow that.
Kinda odd some folks say corals don't really eat.
 
All the soft tissues are going away and I'm starting to see skeleton structure [emoji20]
 
Should have just let it be. The dip is probably what did it in 100%. This has happened to multiple corals in my tank and they usually bounce back as long as you keep an eye on it. Next time put the coral in front of a power head for a couple minutes to blow away slime and gunk and let it do its thing. At least it wasn't a bleeding apple scoly like I lost to my lobo...
 
Can you give Kenya trees a fresh dip water dip to get rid of any unwanted past
