This is a question to ask prior to buying, not after. Make sure you don’t set yourself up for failure by not researching purchases first.

Some pistols stay very small. Some get quite big. Which kind did you get?

It will be fine in a 9 gallon for quite a while.
Inverts dont really count much against your fish stocking level.
Lol, but I would still make it the last one for a 9 gallon tank.

Google Randall's or candy cane pistol shrimp.
If yours isn't an absolute perfect match, I would never add it to another tank when you get a bigger tank.

I rototilled our 2" devil "red pistol shrimp" into the vegetable garden where it belonged.
"Just like the Pilgrims."

Had to take the tank completely apart to get him.
Was worth it.

He wasn't actually bought, I got him in a peice of live rock haha I have absolutely no idea what type he is, he is red with a white bit on his tail from what I seen. He's hiding again now

He's going into my 120litre when it's finished cycling, I also have a 90 litre I could put him in but so far he's been pretty good haha

OK. Saying "I just got a new little pistol shrimp" makes it sound like you bought it not that it was a hitch hiker.

Look up candy cane pistol shrimp. They are red and white striped.

Lol, should be easy enough to remove from that size tank if you get tired of it.

Think it killed a few of our small fish as well.

Locally

cleaner shrimp $30

blood red fire shrimp $38

Pistol shrimp rototilled into the vegetable garden - priceless
